This is good. I type out what for me is a long post, press "post & publish" and ZAP! It's disappeared forever!

I'm trying once more to listen to Royal Trux - either I'm missing something very important (always a possiblity), or they're just not very good. Earlier today I listened to my first complete Scriabin sonata (no. 3) - very idiosyncratic and pretty wonderful, and I will explore more.

Am I the only one who finds the reduction of an ethnicity into an adverb to be a peak of racism? Try this one on: "Jon gave me the money most unjewishly."

It nauseates me to the bottom of my gut that I'm of the same species as this Bush family.

New stuff from Leslie is always welcome. Personally I quite enjoyed the "Inappropriate Fan Mail," some of which reads kinda like a breathless, salacious, tabloid version of Beer Frame.

OK, there's a lot worse things than not updating your weblog, right? So it's been two months and let's just say that my absence has been justified. And, dear readers (all two of you), you probably know by now that I'm not the type to spill secrets on my page here. (Frankly, I don't think anyone would find the details of my life all that interesting.)

Aside from all of my personal reasons for not posting, I'm wondering whether my lack of inspiration here has anything to do with this medium, and my actual interest in it. That's a thought I'm going to try to keep in mind as my actual ability to post returns - maybe the web is not as interesting or expressive to me as I once thought. We'll see.
